Westport Sea2Summit Adventure Race

Westport Sea2Summit Adventure race is a unique event based in ‘the adventure capital of Ireland’, Westport. The race will incorporate all the thrills that Westport has to offer, Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay, the Sheaffry Mountains and the new Greenway. There are two separate races with three categories in both which will include a mix of road running, cycling, and a mountain hike. It will finish with a small adventure obstacle course and short sea run which consists of a 100m dash across a shore line. The water depth will be no more than two feet deep. The Sea2Summit Spirit will cater for the participant that wants a challenge but has not taken part in the adventure racing beforehand. Duration time for the fastest will be 2.5 – 3 hours. The Sea2Summit Supreme is for the participant who wants an extra challenge. The hike up and down the front face of Croagh Patrick (Murrisk) will hurt the legs and the back breaking ramps at the Maum climb will definitely test your bike and quad muscles. Duration time for the elite athletes will be around 3.5 hours.

This year Bressie is taking on the challenge. The Former Frontman of ‘The Blizzards’ and coach on ‘The Voice’  is heading for new heights as he tackles the Last Adventure Race of The Season.
