Run 4 Rescue Half Marathon & 10km Run

Mayo Mountain Rescue are proud to launch this years Louisburgh to Westport Half Marathon and New 10km “Run For Rescue” . The run will take place on Sunday 7th September and is ran by the team as a fundraiser to help fund the Mayo team. All proceeds go directly to the team. We try and push this event as not only a competitive Half Marathon, but also as a fun family day out, family teams, and also teams from the work place. Special rates apply.

 (Times are only guideline at present, and are subject to change prior to the event date. )

Registration for ‘Run 4 Rescue’ will take place on the morning from 8:30  to 9:30 at our Marquee on Westport Quay.

Half Marathon

From the Quay Busses will depard at 9:15 and 9:45 to bring runners and walkers to Louisburgh for the start of the Half Marathon.

10km

The Bus for the 10km will depart at approx 11am to the start which is at ‘Bertra Beach Turn Off’ on Louisburgh Road.

The 10km starts at 12:00

The Run will be claerly marked, there are 4 water stations along the route, and the finish line is outside our marquee. Personal belongings can be left in our Jeep, which will accompany the Race back to Westport, or our van at the finish line. Food and beverages will be served in our marquee afterwards and the prize giving cermony will take place at 15:00 also in the marquee.
