Crooked Trad Live
April 26, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

7 PM, Friday, April 26, Matt Molloy’s.
Westport band Crooked Trad are launching their much-anticipated CD of live music, ‘The Matt Molloy’s Sessions’, this Friday, April 26, at 7pm in Matt Molloy’s. They will be supported by another fabulous local band, The Willow Jacks, and will also be joined on the evening by some very special guests.
Crooked Trad is comprised of Castlebar man Mark Gaffney (guitar and vocals); Catherine O’Driscoll (fiddle and vocals, formerly of the all-Ireland-winning Bridge Céilí band; well-known local musician Michael Kelly (percussion and vocals) and, all the way from Liverpool, Seán McGuire (flute, whistles and vocals). Catherine and Seán both came from a traditional music background, Mark comes from a jazz and blues background and Michael from the indie/rock scene. By drawing on their strengths and fusing the different genres, the band has created their very own exciting sound that also includes great harmonies as they all sing.
Admission, free.
