Clew Bay People of the Year Awards

The Clew Bay People of the Year awards is an initiative by the Westport Lions Club to recognise
outstanding volunteer work in the Clew Bay area reaching from Achill to Louisburg.
All nominations were made by local community groups or individuals recognising the hard work of a small few.
The awards honour people who have selflessly dedicated themselves to helping others and their community.
Tickets- €50 per person.
Proceeds raised from the awards ceremony will be donated to the Gena Heraty Haiti Fund and the Mayo Mountain Rescue.

This year, 2017, Lions Club International is celebrating 100 years in existence and Westport Lions Club celebrates 30 years, with our Partners The Mayo News, celebrating 125 years. We are rejoicing this by honouring the essences of the Lions ethos We Serve, by hosting the Clew Bay People of the Year Awards 24th of March 2017 (7.00pm) in The Castlecourt Hotel, Westport. All are welcome to join the party cheer for the wonderful people, groups and projects in the Clew Bay Area.
The Clew Bay People of the Year Awards received 68 nominations; Our Three Judges were outstanding in the process to capture the ethos of Lions Club International and honour our unsung heroes– those in the local area that give of their time, energy and passion, to those in their community.
