Award-winning, double-platinum-selling Mick Flannery will perform in Westport Town Hall this December. The Cork singer-songwriter’s latest album, simply titled  ‘Mick Flannery’, was released in July. Its songs touch on the themes of ambition and the search for a meaningful life in the context of a musician’s sometimes feckless and dysfunctional lifestyle. The album, described by The Irish Times as ‘beautifully honed’ and ‘thoughtful’, is Flannery’s sixth, and no doubt he will draw from this, as well as his extensive back catalogue, for his Westport gig.
